Maintenance came to replace the tanks later that day. 
The issues definitely impacted our experience since those are basic amenities you expect when booking a stay. While the host communicated with us, I ended up having to negotiate a discount for the inconvenience.

It’s around a bunch of great restaurants and a 3 minute walk from the beach. However, upon arrival we were told that the plumbing was very sensitive and we would not be able to flush toilet paper for the duration of our stay. We ran out of hot water on day 3, and it was fixed, then we ran out again. One of the AC units started dripping over all of our stuff on night one, but was quickly fixed in the morning. The AC fully broke in the master bedroom on day 4 and no one could come to fix it until the day of our departure. The walls are very thin and you will hear everything outside - the chickens will wake you up in the morning. Overall the place was nice and the hosts were kind and responsive, but I wouldn’t stay here again." (6/5)
